Sorry For No New Projects

Posted by Jessismith - December 9th, 2020

I jut wanted to apologize ti all of my friends and viewers here on Newgrounds. To be honest, I have been unable to make any new projects because I suffered a series of 3 massive strokes last year, due to my rare neurovascular brain disease. It took almost everything from me, including any artistic skills and know-how that I had, and even my singing voice. It took my dominant hand that I used for drawing and writing. It completely took away my livelihood. For months, I was just laying in a hospital bed, and doing some physical therapy sessions. I am legally blind, and blessed to even be able to walk and talk right now. I type one-handed, but it is so slow to do. I used to be a typing wizard, but the strokes took that skill away from me as well. Sorry for all the doom and gloom, but I am only kept going by the hope that I will fully recover someday.

I am so sorry you've had to endure such terrible things, can't imagine the struggles. All I can do from here, is to wish you all the best of love and perseverance on your road to recovery. You've made this old, hokey website a better place just by being here. Thank you.

Dear Jessi, there's nothing to apologize or to be sorry for.

It's been ages since I've set foot in Newgrounds, a lot of it has changed. I'm glad you're still around, hoepfully this message will reach you.
The same way this site has changed, we all have. I still remember Project Tokala and the forum you built to give ideas to the project, and of course the music and concept art for the game. I believe that the fact that you decided to set put on a project as ambitious as a MMORPG is admirable and praisable (I'm not sure that word exists).
Even if Tokala didn't saw the day of light, keep this words close to your heart, because you will get out of this the best way possible. Maybe not soon, but you know what people say, the sun shines brightest after the storm (or something like that idk ;p).

Receive a big hug from a little music fan. Hope to hear from you soon.
