wow thanks a lot i thank you for checking my work out
:)
Wow!
Totally epic. I love the slight layering of the beat and how it builds up. :) The name really says it for this song.
thank you soooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Smooth
Nice a soothing. The instruments used make me reminisce of calm villages and beautiful countryside in old games I've played. Lovely. Keep it up!
:) THANKS!!!!
Great
Interesting beat structure, and melody. Love the background chords and the main melody. Very cool song that could definitely work in a cool rpg game or flash movie. :)
thank you :)
This is beautiful
I really love this. I can feel the effort that you put into it. It has such a sad tone to it. Simple and effective. Really makes me miss my old piano and all the days I composed little tunes like this on it. :)
wow i really appreciate you giving me positive feedback; but i honestly dislike this piece the most :P
Pretty
Definitely carries a nice feel of the fall season. Also relaxing most of the way. Now you can play really well, but just a small tip; I've noticed with some of your stuff, it's hard for me to pick out a beat in some places. Usually I will try to play the piece with a metronome, and then edit out mistakes in a piano sequencer later on so that it is more structured and has a more discernible rhythm, but I have done it the other way too in some of my songs, so I know it's pretty hard to keep the rhythm flowing. Anyway, keep it up. :)
I'm very impressed!
Seems I have stumbled upon a rare gem here on NG. You've really got some talent here, dude! The uniqueness and range of your voice make you to be even more so, a rare find. I'll certainly let you know when I make my next toon. All I need is some ideas, and hopefully I can make something epic. :D 5/5 10/10 Fav'd!
Really? I do not feel as such. But, thanks! I appreciate all voice acting work coming my way =D Your words are motivating me to further self-improvement. ^^
Ooh!
This is similar to the Rage of the Giants piece. :) Now I'm building a nice sequel story to this one.
Very well composed, just like the other. I'm really loving the choirs in this too. Almost a more mystical sound to it. I really liking this! :D
Whew, I almost didn't see this review!
This is the original to the RotG piece. RotG was meant to be a better version of this unfinished song.
I'm glad you liked this too, and I'm glad I came back to this. Apparently, I owe DJ Cryogenic a review from months ago. I think I should drop him 3 now lol
Just amazing!
First of all, nice name! Really allows for me to make up a good story to this. :)
I love the strings at the beginning...just the perfect crescendo, and how you've thrown some random little side melodies in to add to the effect, excellent! Then when the brass builds up, just wow! I can feel the tension building, and the rage is about to be unleashed!
At around the minute mark, stuff really gets exciting. I do love how a lot of stuff seems to be going on at once, perhaps like a raging battle between great giants. :D And at 1:35-ish, is probably the real climax of the song....when peril is at its best. :)
All in all, I really loved it. It's really just a perfect piece. I don't have anything bad to say about it. Particularly composition-wise. I wish you the best of luck in the competition!
Cheers,
~S
I'm glad you like it, although I actually think I messed up if 1:35 is the climax. My intention was to have 1:54 be the climax. Perhaps I should have put some violin/viola trills there?
Thanks for the review!
I agree
I agree with the two comments below me. Structurally, it is such a wonderful piece. Very well composed. I love the melody, and the style a lot. It really is a cool piece, but yeah, at the beginning, the whistle type instrument and the strings were just a bit too loud. I had to turn the volume down a lot, which would probably mean that I didn't get to hear some of the sub-melodies. I particularly like the last minute of it. I'm thinking that would sound so awesome if a live orchestra were to play it. :)
